ROTR Returns to Joplin
Rise on the Road served the city of Joplin, MO last week for the second time in two years. From Wednesday to Sunday, our group of 52 students and adult leaders, representing three states, donated 1,050 hours and worked at 10 different sites doing everything from debris clean up, to painting, to mowing, to putting up new walls of a garage, and everything in between. Minneapolis musician Christian Ankrum led worship sessions at night and we heard messages from Rob Roozeboom and Joplin residents throughout the week. 7.23.12 - ROTR Joplin
Rise on the Road returns to Joplin, MO this week to serve the community that was ravaged by an historic tornado last summer. Groups arrive Wednesday night and will serve Thursday through Saturday. Our trip ends with a community wide block party Saturday night. Over 50 participants will aid the community of Joplin in clean-up and rebuilding efforts throughout the trip. Christian Ankrum joins ROTR as worship leader for the week and participants will hear messages from Rob Roozeboom nightly.

7.18.12 - ROTR DR
ROTR Dominican Republic
Our Rise on the Road team took 8 participants and 2 staff back to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic this month. From July 8 to the 16th, ROTR DR served the people of Santo Domingo in the neighborhood of Guaricano. Our team began construction on the second story of a local church, helped with an afternoon VBS, and partnered with the community for an ending concert outreach at the end of our time. Many great memories were made and many lives touched, both in our group and those we served.
